A Much Better Day Today!

Isn't it great to wakeup knowing that God is in control of everything. He is so awesome! It's hard to fathom going through life without Him. When you have a bad day or when you go through a rough time . . .it's good to know you can rest in Him. :-)

Today was an AWESOME day! Sierra and I ventured out around 9:30 and headed to the dog groomer's to drop off Molly. After we dropped her off we went to the mall. For part of my birthday present a few months ago Ken and Lisa gave me an ULTA gift card. We went there first. I wanted to buy another started Bare Escentuals Kit but decided to make a small purchase and save the rest for later. I ended up buying a product that I have heard so much about. It's by URBAN DECAY and it's their Primer Potion. I have heard ladies rave about this product. You put it on and let it dry before applying an eyeshadow base and shadows. They say it allows you eye makeup to stay on all day! I can't wait to try it.
Primer Potion
After deciding to save the rest of my gift card for a later time. We then headed to American Eagle where I had another gift card taking up space in my wallet. I got a cute pair of Capri's and a shirt. Then it was off to Marshall's to look for bathing suits and flip flops for Sierra. We ended up finding 3 suits and 3 pairs of flip flops, a pair of shorts and 2 pairs of summer pj's. I did find a pair of flip flops too :-)
We then had a 12:15 appt at the pediatrician's. Sierra had a small wart on her knee that we were having frozen off. We had tried over the counter treatments and nothing was working so we thought . . let's just have the doctor freeze it off and be done with it. She was a brave little girl because it really stung so I let her pick the restaurant for lunch. I was hoping she would say Don Pablo's but no . . . . she picked McDonalds!I was suppose to get my hair colored and cut tomorrow but the salon called while we were running errands and said that Lisa had cancelled her 2:30 for today and asked if I wanted it. ( Lisa and her best friend Kathleen get their hair colored and cut at the same time every six weeks This just happened to be their "haircut" day.) I thought about it for a minute because I LOVE my time at the salon. It's very relaxing for me and I wasn't sure if I wanted to have a child with me or not. I looked back at Sierra and she had been so good that I told them sure . .. I would take it. So, we headed to the salon around 2:15. When I walked in I saw Kathleen and said hello to her -Lenny had already started her hair! We have both been busy getting ready for Lisa's 30th Birthday party that is happening on Saturday night. We touched base about some of the details and then they got started on my hair. The first thing they do is start the color. My lovely Sierra got the camera out of my purse and started clicking pictures. This is me in the massage chair with my hair full of color.
Isn't that pretty . . . .not!
I then gave Sierra the massage chair and snapped a picture of her! She ended up having a blast. They served her Fresca and snacks and she loved the massage chair.
Lenny, who has done my hair for 20 years now . . .he first cut my hair on my wedding day back on April 4th, 1987. It's hard to believe he has been doing my hair that long. He has come a long way. He is now one of the top Paul Mitchell Trainers . . he goes all over the world teaching and training stylists the newest and most updated products and techniques that Paul Mitchell comes out with each year! Here he is at work on my hair. We decided to go a little darker and more layers.

The finished product! My sweet angel who was so goooooooood today! We had so much fun!!
I wonder if Carlos will notice the difference??? He is due back tonight.
Love you Sierra!!!!
After we left the salon we headed back to the groomer's to pickup Molly. I guess today was the day for haircuts! When we got home I dropped of the kids, unloaded the car and then jumped right back in the van. I had to go give Farley his dewormer. While I was trying to give him his wormer . . he kept getting upset and more upset. I looked around to see what was bothering him and then I saw it . . .up in the sky. I don't know what you call it but here it is :-) After successfully administering the dewormer to Farley I headed back home. One more hour and Carlos should be home - Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I have to help Ken by getting all the party decorations and tableware for Lisa's party. Kathleen is surprising and picking Lisa up early Saturday morning to go somewhere very special for the whole day and then she will bring her back when the party starts. Lisa keeps trying to get out of me and Kathleen about where they are going to go. I told her, "Girl, it's a surprise . . .don't worry . .. you are going to have a blast. Think about it . . .a girl's day out all day with your very best friend . . just enjoy it and relax and have fun!" She is so funny! I can't wait to talk to her after they get back . . .it will be a day that they will never forget!
I need to get off this computer and straighten up the house before Carlos and Taylor gets home!

Thanks KAthy - I am trying to get use to it. I have always had some kind of piecy highlights on top so this is a little different for me :-)
Cindy, it has been fun! I love entertaining!
