Getting ready for the party!
Carlos wokeup very early this morning and left for the airport. It's amazing that he is flying to Canada today to preach twice and then flying back tomorrow. I am glad it will be a short trip.
The kids and I didn't wakeup until 9:15 am. I got up first and had breakfast and then got myself ready to head out to run errands for the party. Alexia was going to stay home to watch Sierra and Landon. Jordan and Taylor headed up to the church to pray . . we have a prayer house that is open many many hours throughout the week where people can come in and pray, study and just seek God.
My first stop was a new party store that just opened up. I was a little disappointed because I had an idea about how I wanted to decorate and they didn't have the main color that I wanted. I decided to change it up a little and ordered and bought everything I thought I needed. I was short a few things so I headed to another party store. I couldn't believe it when I walked in there but I found everything that I had envisioned it would look like . I then made an order with this shop and bought items that would go GREAT with what I wanted to do.
I then headed back to the first store and cancelled the balloon order and took back half the stuff I bought there. I felt so bad but I knew Lisa would love this other stuff so much better and Ken has given me the freedom to get what I think we would need.
I then headed to another store and found the most cool centerpieces and some other fun things. I can't say what they are because Lisa reads my blog everyday :-)
I think she is going to love it!
My van loaded with some of the party goods!
Yesterday, when Sierra and I went shopping we had found a cool pair of Reebok tennis shoes for her that were clearanced for $15.00. When we went in the fitting room to try her bathing suits on the lady made us leave the shoes with her. When we were finished trying on the clothes we left without grabbing the shoes. We were so disappointed because she needs new tennis shoes and these were perfect and on sale :-)
Well, my friend Boli called and said she was out shopping and was stopping at Marshalls. I then told her my "shoe story" . I asked her if she could take a quick look at the kids shoes and see if she could find the shoes. She said sure!
A few minutes ago I received a phone call from her saying she had found the shoes - Hooray!!!! She is going to bring them to me at Lisa's party tomorrow night.
The other fun thing that happened yesterday was this. When Sierra and I went through the McDonalds drive thru, we happened to get a worker that was new. She did something wrong with the register and when the manager came over she looked at me and said, "This is your lucky day . . . you lunches are FREE!" I said, "Really?" She assured me it was true. I guess the lady must of really messed something up and it was going to take to long to reinput everything. We got the biggest tickle out of our FREE lunches.
I need to go get myself cleaned up. Alexia just left with Sierra and Landon. They are headed up to the church for youth group. I am going out with Ken and Lisa to a new steakhouse that opened up last year that we have not tried out yet. I am running out of time so I am out of here:-)
