Valentine PM

This afternoon I took Landon to the dentist - he had to get sealants on two of his molars. When I got home I went over to Ken's parents house to see my God daughter Kaitlyn for Valentine's day. I got her a couple of outfits and her favorite gum Orange Orbit! I know this picture has her eyes closed but I tried 4 times and I couldn't get one with her eyes open! I think my flash was too much for her :-) My wonderful husband took me out to dinner. We went to one of our favorite restaurants but was disappointed at how they treated us. They seated us and then presented us with their "Valentine Menu" . It was $39.95 per person and included a salad, appetizer and entree. I told the server that I wasn't too hungry and that we were going to split one of the meals. She told me she didn't think they could do that. She was told by management that everyone who was seated had to order. I asked her to go and check with the manager and explain I had had a late lunch. She came back and let us know that we would have to order or leave. We were shocked . . .we couldn't believe they were asking us to leave. I am definitly going to send a letter to the owner and let them know how wrong we were treated. The evening worked out great though - we went to another great restaurant and we were treated great - the food and service was awesome!
We came home - made a fire in the fireplace and brewed a big pot of coffee and settled down to watch American Idol. It was a wonderful day - and I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day too!

Sorry you had such a poor experience at one of your favorite restaurants. I definitely think a letter is in order.

That must have set things off on a sour note. How nice that the evening ended well and you got your yummy dinner. :)

Have you heard anything back from the restaurant?

Cindy - nothing as of yet. I emailed them instead of calling them. I was scared at what I would say if I talked to them on the phone so I thought emailing them would be best! LOL
