The Packing Begins & Natalie's Baby Shower

Last night after Sierra came home from the Father/Daughter Dance she got her jammies on and cuddled on the couch with me. The next thing I know it is around 3:00 am and we are still on the couch. I took us both upstairs so we could sleep in our beds the rest of the night. The weather was so cold last night that we ended up falling asleep in front of the fireplace.

This morning I headed over to Ken and Lisa's to help them pack. We started on the kitchen first. That took us most of the day. Here we are in the midst of packing up the kitchen. Ava decided she wanted to help us pack so we put her in the carrier and we packed away. She loves being able to look out at everything! Lisa and I had a baby shower to attend so we felt pretty good that we were leaving with the kitchen completely packed.
Kevin and Natalie are expecting their 3rd baby in about 3 weeks. Today was their baby shower. The shower was coed so we had guys and gals at the shower.

Natalie's best friend Janice put the whole shower together . . she came up with a "duck" theme. It was so cute! If you notice the Chinese lettering on the favors . that's because Kevin is Chinese and those were in honor of him.

This game was fun . . . they filled that pink container with rice and then put in there around 15 plastic diaper pins. The person who found the most pins won.
It's hard to see what's going on here but this was so funny. For this game, Natalie's husband Kevin had to hang baby clothes on the line while holding a baby (doll) all while talking on a cell phone and holding a conversation. Talk about multi-tasking!


After the babyshower we headed back to pack some more. We ended up finishing their 3 bathrooms and about 1/4 of their garage. I ended up coming home around 10:15 pm. The big move day is this Saturday! Thanks honey for holding down the fort while I was gone all day!
