The Fire Pit

About 5 years ago my brother in laws and Carlos made us a fire pit in the backyard. We love to have bonfires so we can make s'mores and roast hotdogs. Well, we got a new shed about 2 years ago which was positioned right next to the firepit. We were not able to use it because the smoke blew right on the shed. So, I asked my brother in law Todd to help me make a new pit. It ended up being a family affair but we got it done and it looks great! Todd, Steph, my dad, Carlos, Sierra and myself made the new pit.

Mom and Steph joined in.

Stephanie designed the upper two layers.

Dad and Sierra worked on filling in the old pit.
The finished product -thank everyone for helping us! Tomorrow night we will christen the new firepit with a bonfire.

After working on the firepit we cleaned ourselves up and headed to the mall and to the outlet mall. We have a tradition of making our annual run to the Pfaltzgraaf Outlet. My mom and I were totally bummed when we found out our Christmas pattern Snow Village was discontinued. We then headed to the grocery to get food for dinner. Carlos and I bought a new grill and the expert griller in the family - Todd - is going to christen the grill tonight.

It is all going to end tomorrow- in fact they are all packing now as I am typing this :-( I am starting to tear up . . . I don't want them to leave.

COOL firepit! I bet you'll have many fun evenings with that. Ours is a propane one and we really enjoy it. NO WONDER you've been so busy. I had no idea you had that much company. I haven't visited any blogs in 3-4 weeks and now I'm trying to play catch up with everyone.
