Farley's Shots and Teeth

This afternoon the vet came out to give Farley his shots and to "float" his teeth. Farley will be 21 in May so he is starting to get up there in age. His teeth are checked every six months to see if they are getting any pointy edges. Floating is the filing down of the horses teeth. Poor Farley's back bottom teeth are pretty much at gumline but she still had to file down the edges that had popped up. They first give him a sedative and then they get to work. The vet started using this "contraption" harness to help keep Farley's mouth open . It makes her job a lot easier.

His vet said he was in good health, his weight is good and he is all up to date on everything. We are good until July!

Sapphire is also getting up there in age. Don't know what we'll do when she passes away. Belle will surely miss her too.
