Bread Recipe

I decided to make Thursday another stay at home day but unlike yesterday where I held a precious angel for 4 hours and visted with Lisa . . . .I had to get motivated to clean the house. After the kids went to school I sat down with a cup of coffee and my Bible and read for a little bit. I then started some laundry and then headed upstairs to attack the upstairs! It is now 3:30 pm and I am almost through . . all I have left is our masterbath and then the upstairs is finished Spaz In cleaning I decided to do some baking. So, I made a loaf of bread and the dough for chocolate chip cookies. For lunch I warmed up some of the vegetable soup I made yesterday. That soup was even better today than it was yesterday. Well, the kids just got home so I need to make their afternoon snack. Recipe for Bread
I have a bread machine in which I use only to make the dough using the dough cycle.
1 1/3 cups of very warm water
3 tsp butter or margarine
4 cups bread flour
4 tsp dry milk
2 tsp salt
2 T sugar
2 tsp yeast.
After the dough cycle is complete I then take it out and knead it for a few minutes. I then get my Pampered Chef Loaf Pan and spray it with PAM. I then place the dough in the pan. I let the dough rise until doubled. I then put the bread in a 375 degree preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. After baking I take the bread out of the loaf pan and put it on a rack to cool. I also take a stick of butter and go over the top of the bread lightly with butter. I wait for it to cool down before I cut it.

Emily--I think you should definitely post your bread and soup recipes! That loaf of bread looked perfect! Of course, my kiddos would devour the whole thing in one setting if they could. Ha!

I will try to post them tonight - if not tomorrow. I just got finished posting on SHS the prayer and praise reports for Dec and half of January. I ended up getting behind during the holidays.

Soup is much better the next day, isn't it?

Mmmm home-made soup and fresh bread. Sounds like you just planned my dinner for tonight!
