Tis the Season

It is now 1:30 am and we just got done watching a movie. Our computers have been soooooo slow that I am still having trouble posting and uploading things but I think right now it is going to work. Friday was a busy day. After the kids were off to school I got dressed and headed out to buy food for our Pastors/Staff/Board Christmas Party that is held at our house each year. I first had to stop at Lisa's house because Aleida from our church brought me a lasanga to give to her and I was able to give her a bunch of cookies from the cookie exchange. When I got to her house she said she needed to get out for awhile so she and Christian and i headed out to SAMS to buy some of the food for the party. We had a great time going through all the fun appetizers and desserts that are out this time of year. After SAMS we parted ways and I headed home to get all of our purchases put away. I then picked up the kids from school and headed to Best Buy. Landon, Sierra and Taylor went with Jordan after he got off work to get Landon and Jordan's haircut and then he treated them to McDonalds. AFter I left the kids I headed out to do a little more shopping. I had a $50.00 gift card that the kids gave me for Mother's Day so I went to spend it. I ended up with 2 pairs of adorable cargo pants, two shirts and a tank from Aeropostle. Thanks kids!! ( I totally forgot I had the gift card all these months so it was fun to find it in my purse) I then headed to Wal-mart to finish buying the items for the Christmas Party. While I was there Jordan dropped off the two little ones to Carlos and the rest of the kids headed to youth. Carlos called while I was at Walmart and asked if I wanted to go to the movies. I suggested that we go home - make some hot chocolate and popcorn and watch a Christmas movie. He thought that was great idea so he told me to buy a new movie. I ended up choosing a movie called The 12 Dogs of Christmas. What a great movie - this is another wonderful family Christmas movie. We just got the kids in bed and now I am trying to update the blog then heading to bed. I have a major day of getting the house and food ready for tonights party. Here is the LOAD Lisa and I got while at SAMS today - this pictures shows snacks and appetizers and the desserts . . . .
The 12 Dogs of Christmas is one that you all should add to your Christmas DVD collection . . . great family movie!

Good night everyone!

WHAT FUN! I always enjoy having parties out here, but I guess it's not meant to be this year..... people really don't like to drive out this far and all of our friends live in town!

You can say that again De'Etta. It's now 1:50 am and I just got through cleaning up everything from our Pastors/Board Christmas Party. I am like you De'Etta - it is a busy time but I also LOVE this time of year!
Cindy - I would come to your party . . .if I lived a little closer :-)
