It's That Time of Year!

Well, the house is finally decorated. The inside and out is finally complete and just in time for our Annual Christmas Party for our Pastors, Staff and Board. Here are a few pictures of the outside in the daylight and some after dark. My honey worked hard on getting everything done.

Here are a few pictures from the party. In the dining room I served hot and cold appetizers, veggie tray, fruit tray, assorted rolls, shrimp cocktail and lots of other goodies.

This is the dessert table all filled with lots of sweets. This year I spread the drinks out this year. In our mudroom I had the coffee set up. At the beverage center I had the hot chocolate. And on the other side of the kitchen I served hot tea. I forgot to take a picture but I set up the cold drinks outside on the pool deck.

Here we are playing a white elephant game. Each person brought a gift worth $20.00 to play the game. I ended up with a gift certificate to Star Bucks and Carlos won a gift certificate to Wal-Mart.

After we play the game I give a gift to all the women. As many of you know I am a snowman addict :-) Each year I buy a snowman for each of the ladies. I have them draw numbers and then assign a number to each snowman. I then have them come in to the room and find out which snowman they get. Here they are with all their new snowmen.
During the evening the Space Shuttle ended up taking off. We all ran outside and by the time I grabbed my camera you could barely see it. In the next picture you will see a little speck in the dark .. that is the Space Shuttle heading to space.

Alexia came home after party . Ken and Lisa were still here hanging out. Alexia was so happy she finally was able to meet Ava. Oh, and by the way Lisa is doing soooooooooooooo much better. Thanks everyone for your prayers.
Alexia asked her friend Sam to spend the night so here they are eating all the goodies that we had left.

I actually didn't get to bed until 2:30 am. I have a hard time going to sleep with my kitchen messy so I had to pick and clean everything up. As soon as I got in bed - I don't even remember falling asleep - as soon as I hit the pillow I was out.

Lisa,

I loved the gold cloth you laid over the other tablecloth. It made everything look so special. I'll be pinching that idea!

Emily,
Your house and party look and sound FABULOUS! How cool that you can just step outside and see the space shuttle take off. We'd love to plan a trip there sometime when it "might" be taking off (LOL)!... knowing full well it's all iffy and dependent on the weather.

I bet the women LOVE to come to your party and get their snowmen!

Night launches are the best Cindy. I can kick myself for not remembering earlier that it was taking off that night. If I could of caught it a few minutes earlier the picture would of been awesome!
