Hello From Moscow!
This is the letter that I received from Carlos yesterday. I thought I would share it so you can see how things are going in Russia. I did delete the mushy parts :-) Hey Babe. Just got to Moscow and it is cold and I miss you lots. Raul and I have tried for several days to get onto the Internet but we have had no luck. We were in a different city and the church connection has been down for days. The hotel we stayed at in that city also had no connection. We had a train ride for about 20 hours to Moscow. Raul , myself and an interpreter plus a tour guide traveled with us. We rode in a sleeper. It was a great experience.
At this time, it is 8pm, 12 noon your time on Tuesday. We will remain in Moscow for the next two days. We fly out on Thursday at 12:30 arriving New York 3:30, leave for Orlando at 7:30 arriving home around 10:30.
Can't wait to see you all.
We have had an awesome trip. The Lord was absolutely miraculous. Many powerful miracles took place. I was really caught off guard by what the Lord did here. We had standing room only in all of our services. I preached 7 times from Thursday to Sunday and Raul preached twice.
I should be walking into the house by 12:30 am. Hopefully you will be up. If not, I understand. I will be wide awake because it will take me a few days to adjust to the time difference. It took me about three days to adjust and I purposely stayed up all night one night so that I would be exhausted and sleep through the night in order to adjust. So, You can sleep in if you like and I will drive all three kids to school for you. Also, if you don't have plans for Friday, why don't we do lunch, go Christmas shopping, do dinner and maybe catch a movie. . Email me back and I will get it by tomorrow or Thursday. Do try to get you Friday clear so we can spend the whole day together.
Tomorrow we go and see Red Square and a couple of other sites and maybe buy some souvenirs.
I love you a bunch and sure miss the heck out of you. Can wait to hold you in my arms. Please send my love to the kids.
Check with Meraly about confirming with my parents.
Love ya and Miss ya.................Carlos

Which group is Raul with? We have some friends who used to be missionaries in Russia and that name sure sounds familiar (LOL). They were with JKM.
Raul ran our missions department for years but just resigned this past September. He now goes around the US helping churches set up mission trips.
