Farley - my beloved Arabian!

Today I went to one of my favorite stores - TRACTOR SUPPLY! Yes, I said Tractor Supply. I am a true country girl at heart. My dream is to someday have a HUGE farm - I am praying! I love roaming the aisles looking at all the equine and farm supplies. I needed pine shavings for Farley's stall so it was a quick stop to Tractor Supply. When I got back I headed to the barn to drop off the pine shavings. Here is a picture of my "baby". His name is Farley and he is 20 years old. He was named after Walter Farley - author of the Black Stallion. He actually has the same birthday as Alexia - May 9th. He is an awesome horse. Me and my friends Leanna, Pam and Sharon ride almost every Friday. We actually have not been able to ride much this past summer because it was too hot but I saw Leanna today and she said we are starting up again this Friday. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!

Farley was an answer to prayer for me. I had always wanted a horse. Alexia wanted one too. I told her back then that if the Lord wanted us to have a horse he would lay one at our doorstep. So, we began to pray and pray and pray :-) About 4 years ago Carlos and I attended a funeral. We ended up walking in late. Well, the next day at church one of our members came up to me and said, "My sister saw you at the funeral yesterday. She said that when you walked in she felt that the Lord said that to give you one of her horses along with all the tack." I couldn't believe it but it was true. I went over to her house that next week and checked him out. He was perfect. He stood still in the pasture while we saddled him up - he wasn't even tied up. I took him on a test ride and I was instantly in love. So, a big thank you to Terri for blessing me years ago with this precious gift - my horse- Farley!

I love your horse. What a great testimony of how our Father loves to give us good gifts. I would like to ride, but I've had the opportunity only a couple of times in my life. Good for you...he's beautiful!
