Breakfast Casserole Recipe

Many of you requested that I post the recipe for the Breakfast Casserole that I served at Lisa's Baby Shower last Saturday.

Breakfast Casserole
1 1/2 pounds of Jimmy Dean Sausage Mild - brown and drain
9 eggs slightly beaten
3 cups milk
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt
3 slices bread cut in 1/4 inch cubes
Mix all together and then add 1 -1/2 cups of grated sharp cheddar cheese

Spray Pam on a 9 x 13 pan ( I like using the Pampered Chef 9 x 13 Stone) but you can use any kind. Pour mixture into the pan - cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 1 hour UNCOVERED.
This is the recipe I cook every Christmas morning. It's a tradition that I serve it each year. I love making this because you prepare it the night before- and then you just wake up and pop it in the oven. This way you are not stuck in the kitchen on Christmas morning - we usually have the kids open their stockings while this is cooking.

I've recently been told that I'll be making breakfast for the Catholic/Protestant clean up decorating day at the chapel....how timely.

One of my moms best friends gave this recipe to her years ago. Growing up, my mom made it for our family many times. For the last 19 1/2 years I have been making it for my own family. It is always a hit!
Enjoy
